Racetraitor have never had much interest in becoming a nostalgia band. Nearly 30 years after first making themselves one of the most talked-about and confrontational bands in hardcore, they’re still making new music because they feel like they have something worth saying.

*Nobody, Son of Nobody* is the latest chapter. Following 2023’s *Creation and the Timeless Order of Things*, the new EP finds Racetraitor once again pushing their sound well past the boundaries of traditional hardcore—metallic, chaotic and heavy as hell, while still sounding unmistakably like Racetraitor. Lyrically, the record takes aim at ego, power and the systems people build around both.

The band has spent its entire existence refusing to separate hardcore from the world outside of it. That hasn’t changed here. Neither has their willingness to make people uncomfortable.
